In April 2001, Esther Eppstein opened the new message salon exhibition space at Rigiplatz in District 6, along with a separate message salon shop and video club offering editions, publications, records, T-shirts, fanzines, postcards, art and a VHS video library featuring works and documentaries by artists from Zurich and the surrounding area.
