Trained photographer Sandi Kozjek works in Paris and Zurich and is also pursuing a path in art. She is presenting her first solo exhibition at the message salon. Photography that seeks its own language and is capable of transcending the boundaries of the medium is the starting point for the works created for this exhibition.
Sandi Kozjek returns to her parents’ homeland, Slovenia, formerly Yugoslavia, and photographs and documents her home village and family in drawings, handicrafts, objects, and installations. The artist explores her own family roots in Slovenia and, as the child of an immigrant family, the distance between cultures and the alienation between generations.
