Perla-Mode, message salon and everyone involved are part of art history and can now be seen again at the Kunsthaus Zurich!
To mark the start of the anniversary celebrations, Esther Eppstein’s work “Perla-Mode-Album, message salon 2006–2013, 300 minutes, no sound, 2016”, acquired by the Kunsthaus Zürich, will be presented for the first time in the collection as a video projection. The video shows, in chronological order, all 58 photo albums, each containing 100 images, which were photographed and edited by Esther Eppstein at the message salon in the Perla-Mode on Langstrasse and displayed in the albums for viewing in the art space. The photographs depict artists setting up their work, the vernissages, the exhibitions, visitors, parties, Langstrasse and many faces – friends, acquaintances and strangers. The 58 original photo albums, along with the video created from them, were acquired by the Kunsthaus Zürich for its collection in 2017.
