The Ticino artist Marta Margnetti visits Daniela Palimariu at the Hunzikerareal.
The two artists share time, thoughts and ideas in the message salon embassy studio, finding common themes and the setting for the artist talk that will take place in the studio at the end of the week.
Daniela Palimariu and Marta Margnetti’s artistic interests revolve around social spaces, sculpture and architecture. Both are united by their commitment as operators of an artist-run space away from the glaring spotlight of the art world. Daniela Palimariu is co-founder of sandwich gallery in Bucharest and Marta Margnetti is co-founder of the Sonnenstube art space in Lugano.
The artist talk will be moderated by curator Gioia Dal Molin, who initiates artist talks with le Foyer-in-Process, which are dedicated to the artistic process and the conditions of artistic existence.
Progetto 6000 is an off-art festival that gives young artists from Ticino a platform in Zurich.
After the artist talk, everyone is invited to Eritrean food, cooked on site by Freweini Habte, neighbour of the message salon embassy in the Hunzikerareal.
