He creates ‘Studio Posters’, poetic slogans in black ink on white drawing paper – melancholically aggressive (self-)reflections and flashes of inspiration from the artist’s everyday studio life. The ongoing series ‘A quiet sculptural proposition for something not yet understood but felt’ is extended on site by a further object, a pencil-maltreated block of clay from the studio’s material pool. Ad hoc sculptures made of stretcher frames, Post-it notes, ladders, adhesive tape and other useful materials from the artist’s studio are precisely placed in the space and play with aesthetics, function and meaning.
The artist’s studio is a free and uncensored place for a critical examination of the art business, making art, viewing art and exhibiting art. How does the artist feel, how does art feel?
