Zurich artist Laurent Goei has exhibited several times at Esther Eppstein’s art spaces Monotony (on Rennweg) and message salon since 1995. Some works from these exhibitions and others from the artist’s fund are now being re-staged in the current exhibition at the message salon and brought together in a kind of retrospective. The artist is taking stock before moving into the City of Zurich’s studio in New York for a year in September. His maxim for the near future: earn money to be able to exist in the expensive capital of capitalism. The sale of Laurent Goei’s works brings money to New York and empties the studio in Zurich, which is being dissolved.
