Selina Trepp and Esther Eppstein are opening a reception desk at the Bilderladen Monotony on Rennweg and inviting Zurich’s art world to bring their artworks in for sale. The artists fill in the necessary forms at the office and set the price of their work, although the sale price must not exceed 200 francs.
The next day, Esther Eppstein and Selina Trepp furnish their living room at the Bilderladen Monotony with furniture, knick-knacks, flowers, magazines, books, pictures, a record player and the artworks that have been handed in. On 23 September, the two artists, dressed in exercise bikes, welcome their guests into the living room and announce that they are unfortunately bankrupt, which is why everything, including the art collection, is being sold at rock-bottom prices – everything is for sale! The opening of the flat clearance sale is celebrated with the Schaffhausen entertainment band Los Tres Lulus.
