Moritz Arnold (born 1992) and Maria Arnold (born 1994) are the children of Esther Eppstein and Mauro Arnold. The message salon art space is also a family business, and we spend a lot of time together here. The children see the message salon as an extension of their living room and as a free space that they naturally claim for themselves. Maria and Moritz present their first exhibition at the message salon.
Maria shows the world of animals, because they are the most beautiful creatures in the world. Especially mammals. Maria presents a selection of drawings, photos of our cats in Zurich and of dogs she has befriended, as well as a collection of animal posters that Maria has collected since she was a very young girl. Moritz is showing ink and pencil drawings, as well as masks and aliens that he drew on the computer and printed out on an inkjet printer. Together we built a cinema, where Moritz’s short animated films are shown, with plastic soldiers and chess pieces wriggling between death and victory.

Moritz and Maria play a role in the Zurich film student’s diploma film. The short film will be shown intermittently on Saturday and Sunday at the message salon cinema.
