Lucerne artist Davix (born 1966) now lives in Berlin and previously made a name for himself in the music and art scene as a drummer (Stevens Nude Club, Suahelimassiv) and multimedia artist. Davix belongs to the first generation of young Swiss video artists of the early 1990s and is a pioneer of computer and net art. Since a serious accident involving whiplash, Davix has had to radically reduce his work on screen and has thus returned to his first medium, painting.
Davix has exhibited regularly at the message salon since 1995 and shown his videos there. In the current exhibition, “Drop Aera 2002”, the artist presents himself for the first time from his new, as yet unknown side as a reborn painter.
