The Zurich artist Urs Lehmann aka biopop. moves with his art through a synthesis of nature and artificiality, along the themes of the Big Bang, evolution, neurology, genetics and microbiology. In performative readings, biopop. reads his own utopian-philosophical texts, while also producing hyperrealistic-fantastic drawings and digital paintings, with sensor pen and drawing board directly into virtual space. In the current exhibition at message salon, a glowing eye leads us into our floating past.
At the end of the exhibition, biopop. will be reading in the message salon:
“Sermon Synapasalfluss. no pole is too far for us, no peak too high, no trench too deep. the stars above us twinkle auspiciously in the vibrating atmosphere.”
unkraut. aka Sarah Kreuter, deals with humanity in its decadence and proliferates as a cultivated plant in the various media of film, photography, performance, installation, object and animation. In the message salon, unkraut. projects rushing waves of expectation.
In addition, the artist couple unkraut.biopop. will be giving a current insight into the photo series “esperando al toro”, which they created in Spain last summer. They waited for the bull in the dust of Andalusia. He never came.
