Zurich artist Christian Andersen blows up his beloved places in Zurich and objects of emotional significance. In his meticulously computer-modelled photographs, the artist’s studio, a friend’s beloved Mercedes and the meeting place of the Zurich record label Suntic Record explode. The explosions here are an expression of emotional connection and a shared attitude to life in music, art, community and friendship.
The exhibition is based on the new artist’s book “Explosions/With-Without My Friends”, which is on display for the first time at the message salon.
Friends of the artist, who are also featured in the book, Zurich musicians Kay-Zee (Suntic Records) and Karla. K, will perform a live set at the opening.
