The lonely man wandering alone through a hostile world, a melancholic song on his lips, is a recurring motif in Karin Müller’s videos and photographs. Music always plays an important role in her work.
In her current exhibition, “Lagerfeuer” (Campfire), Karin Müller presents an installation featuring photographs, video footage and a blazing campfire. The photographs show people in body language and gestures, recreating found images. In the videos, we encounter once again the male, lonely wolf, the stranger from the Western film, who is searching.
At the opening of the exhibition, we will gather around the campfire in the message salon and listen to the romantic songs and guitar sounds of our friends as darkness falls.
