“More Place!” Art lovers are invited to adopt permanent objects in public spaces. Miriam Steinhauser, an artist born in southern Germany who has been working in Zurich since 1989, is exhibiting a photographic series of objects found on a single street on the outskirts of Zurich at the message salon. The objects in public space seem to have no obvious use and could easily be overlooked. The artist calls the photo series of these objects APT (A Piece of Town). By purchasing a photograph, the buyer adopts the object depicted in it. The APT (A Piece of Town) patronage does not entail any obligation, but it could lead to an unexpected relationship.
On Sunday evening, Miriam Steinhauser’s exhibition will host music from the turntable. Artist Andrea Thal will play LPs and singles from her record collection “Bad Sisters Archive” – music by and featuring women.
