Following the conclusion of “message salon holiday camp” in the small town of Appenzell, the message salon caravan travelled to Zurich in autumn 1998 and was re-installed by Esther Eppstein on a site in the industrial district. On the site in the no-man’s-land on Pfingstweidstrasse, nestled amongst second-hand Vulkaro fridges, workshops and vegetable wholesalers, gatherings and one-off art interventions took place on Saturdays throughout the summer, both inside and around the caravan.
