Mind the Gap
A film by Jessie Fischer, 2005. 27 min.
“I had the slightly crazy idea of remaking the Swiss film classic “Ueli der Knecht” in Singapore. However, upon my arrival in Singapore, I realised how insane this plan was. So I roamed around Singapore with my team and my camera, with one question in my mind: where and how could I stage this story here?” Jessie Fischer, 2005

Sunny from inside to outside
A film by Maria Pomiansky, 2005, 25 min.
“The film was intended to answer the question ‘What is beauty?’. For my documentary film about the perception of beauty, I travelled from Zurich to Tel Aviv and on to Moscow, which took me back to my roots. My journey from Eastern Europe via the Middle East to Western Europe shows not only the linguistic and cultural changes I have undergone in my life, but also the different perceptions of beauty in relation to prosperity.” Maria Pomiansky, 2005
