During the hot summer days, Ella Spector jumped into the Limmat and Lake Zurich and spent a few days in the Grisons mountains, wandering through green, buzzing meadows and stately Grisons villages with views of mountains, cows and the Viamala Gorge, which has been the undoing of many an open-air painter and border crosser.
To mark the end of her stay, Ella Spector presents the publication “Notes from the Alps”. A zine in the wake of romanticism, that longing for the power of nature and true feelings, leads the viewer from the might of the mountains to the vastness of the desert, cows become camels and the sea of stars stands above everything – as the common and mighty canopy of the sky.
Ella Spector has carefully crafted each individual zine by hand.
