Since the opening of Perla-Mode in September 2006, Esther Eppstein has photographed vernissages, exhibitions, parties, artists and guests with an analog Leica Minilux compact camera. The developed images were continuously edited by her, sorted into albums and then displayed in the message salon.
By the time message salon closed in December 2013, 58 albums had been created, each containing 100 photographs. “Perla-Mode-Gala-Album” shows an exclusive selection of these in a limited edition fanzine.

“Perla-Mode-Gala-Album” is published on the occasion of Volumes Independent Publishing Fair Zurich, a one-day international platform for independent art and small publishers. All previously published message salon zines, designed by Benjamin Sommerhalder, will also be available at the message salon stand.
