In their exhibition “Follow the Outline”, Veli&Amos follow the line and the tether.
The artists are travelling along the beach, as modern-day pathfinders on the trail of romance in their art. The hammock on the palm beach, a motif about the longing for freedom and peace, becomes a floating object in materials and bright colours of the urban outdoor industry. Luggage rack tensioners in light green, yellow and pink weave scraps of plastic and tissue paper into newly interpreted dreamcatchers, strangely contorted like dishevelled flotsam and jetsam after a storm.
The good and beautiful life on the beach springs from a fantasy from childhood and youth – in the distance of the sunset bathed in violet-red, a dolphin leaps on the horizon, straight into the heart.
Since December 2011, Veli&Amos have been running “The Billboard” on the Perla-Mode terrace, a painting area and rentable platform for art, advertising or messages of all kinds. In “Follow The Outline”, the billboard, in the immediate neighbourhood of the pinned building poles on the Perla-Mode building, becomes a three-dimensional architectural sketch with a view.
On the occasion of the exhibition “Follow The Outline”, message salon is publishing the first zine by Veli&Amos with a selection of Veli&Amos notebooks from the last three years.
