Zurich artist, graphic designer and musician Alain Kupper, aka Rockmaster K., is exhibiting new photomontages at the message salon. Fleshy Rambo women entwine themselves around machine guns, while men appear as elf-like creatures without personality. The computer-mounted photographs, created from found and manipulated images, speak to viewers in the language of advertising, seducing and promising, yet leaving behind a feeling of coldness, disorientation and emptiness.
Rockmaster K. is also interested in the figure of the corrupted artist who has capitulated to capitalism. He cites the current dream couple of the tabloids as an example on the exhibition poster he designed, “Women – Always better than you!”.
Top model Heidi Klum: “At my modest level, I decide more things for myself every day than a chancellor.” Crooner Seal: “There is hardly anything with which a woman can wield as much power as cooking for her man.”
