message salon embassy has published fourteen zines since it opened in 2015 on Grubenstrasse in Zurich.
On the occasion of VOLUMES, Zurich’s annual festival of small artbook presses and self-publishing, message salon embassy presents all fourteen zines at the Kunsthalle Zurich, featuring work by:
Ninutsa Shatberashvili & Sandro Sulaberidze, Rafał Pierzyński, Daniela Palimariu, Desislava Pancheva, Adnan Softić, Maria Pomiansky, Anna Lukashevsky, Rich Bott, Lukatoyboy, Roy Menachem Markovich, Ella Spector, Jonathan Touitou.
In addition, in time for VOLUMES, message salon embassy is re-releasing zine no. 15, “Die Grussbotschaft” (The Greeting), a gift to the Kulturbüro Zurich on the occasion of its 20th birthday. The original was created in September 2018 during an evening at the Kulturbüro at Helvetiaplatz under the aegis of editors Annina Machaz and Nils Amadeus Lange and features illustrated minutes by Maria Pomiansky and contributions by attendees. The newly published special edition is an expanded print version of the original, which will be displayed in the Kulturbüro’s “minishop” until 2 December and will then reside in the Kulturbüro collection.
As part of VOLUMES, message salon embassy and Maria Pomiansky are showing original minutes of various meetings; the artist will be on hand sporadically to document the event.
